GTA 5 Online update and weekly Grand Theft Auto news for August 2020



Having launched one of the biggest updates for GTA 5 Online in 2020, Rockstar now looks set to offer a new wave of deals and discounts. The usual rhythm has been disrupted by the Summer Special patch, so there’s a chance things may run a little differently. Bit based on how the majority of the weekly playlist changes have been handled in Grand Theft Auto Online this year, we would expect the next one to arrive on Thursday, August 20. This will likely include new deals on vehicles, special offers for Prime Gamers, and perhaps a surprise or two.

The Rockstar Events page states that all the current deals will end this week, which should mean new ones taking their place.

They will be replaced by a refreshed lineup of deals, including discounts on leading vehicles and properties, and we would expect all the current deals to disappear at around 9am BST.

The most recent deals and rewards have been lined up to encourage gamers into the Yacht buying business, and this includes offering double GTA$ and RP Rewards on the new Super Yacht missions.

Twitch Prime gamers can also enjoy a number of deals this week, with Rockstar confirming in a new statement:

“GTA Online players who have connected their Prime Gaming accounts to Social Club can earn the latest weekly GTA$200,000 bonus this week (please allow up to 72 hours for all GTA$ bonuses to arrive in your Maze Bank account).

“Twitch Prime subscribers also get the Vespucci Canals Nightclub location for free, along with access to special discount: 70% off the Grotti X80 Proto and 80% off the Bravado Gauntlet Hellfire. To ensure access to future benefits, make sure to visit Prime Gaming and sign up.”
